A few months ago we got a request from one of our readers to do more coverage on the museum world. We've just added a museums category to our discussion forum, so please dive in and tell us what you're up to in the museum world.

CHIN Museums Meanwhile, if you're at a loss as to where to begin, the Canadian Heritage Information Network is a good place to start your surf engines. The federal government created this "electronic gateway to the museum community in Canada and beyond."

It has a sophisticated search tool that allows you to find entries by keywords, or use a map of Canada to search by location. But search engines only go so far -- they really only work if you know what you're looking for. If you just want to browse and see all the resources, the best way is to click on the "site guide" and see at your fingertips all the amazing museums in Canada.

For online museum travel only, head for the 'Virtual Exhibits' and there's a long list of treasured sites waiting to be surfed.

The ambitious Festival Vancouver is hoping to pull in an audience of 35,000 over 17 days in its first season this summer, just to break even. One of the hyped events, a must-see, must-hear, is Monteverdi's Orfeo, which is frequently referred to as "the first great masterpiece of opera." The piece rarely receives modern staged productions, but Early Music Vancouver, is launching an enterprising effort tonight with a cast that includes tenor Paul Agnew, Suzie LeBlanc, and sopranos Ellen Hargis and Meredith Hall.

Have you ever wondered about the inner machinations of the royal family? Are you curious about how they keep the dynasty on track (well at least financially if not morally) year after year? Look no further. The CBC is broadcasting The Firm tonight. This program looks who the British Royal Family is, where they came from, how much money they've got and what their plans are for the future. 7 p.m. on CBC Newsworld. (Part 2 airs Wednesday at 7 p.m.)

Later, check out the Queen Mum of Rock and Roll ... If you've ever watched Much Music you know Denise Donlon. Donlon's travelled the rock and roll highway, from back stage with rowdy roadies all the way to becoming one of the most powerful players in Canadian music history. That's on Life and Times, CBC-TV at 9 pm ET
